Well well well … here we are at CRUNCH TIME! It’s (almost) October and time to dive into some playoff baseball. I’m going to approach this a little differently and give you my thoughts/plays that stick out for each game to help you decide on plays.

As always, my personal plays are posted publicly in the Break the Odds Discord, the Mosh Pit Discord, and often shared on my X account.
✅ THE SLATE ✅
Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Guardians, 1p
I’m staying away from this game. I have no idea to expect from the Tigers, who have basically been on life support for a month, and I also don’t trust any batter against Tarik Skubal.
San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs, 3p
Moises Ballesteros and Ian Happ are the bats that stand out for my consideration. Both have solid numbers L30 against the Pitch Mix of Matthew Boyd.
BALLESTEROS: .400/.457/.400 (AVG/wOBA/ISO)
HAPP: .346/.391/.346
While a L/L matchup, Luis Arraez is batting .429 off Boyd and also is hot this week (.450 avg).
Manny Machado is batting .385 off Boyd in his career and traditionally hits lefties well, but has also been pretty cold of late.
Wind looks to be blowing in about 8 MPH, which is a ding to bats at Wrigley
Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees, 6p
This will no doubt be a dogfight (it always is)
Aaron Judge is on a heater right now and matches up well to Crochet’s pitch arsenal (.556/.801/.889), but those numbers are against way worst pitchers than Crochet, who Judge is 3-15 off in his career.
If Ahmed Rosario actually plays, he’s 6-9 off Crochet in his career with four singles and a HR
Cincinnati Reds vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, 9p
Ol’ Freddie Freeman is certainly in play. He loves a big moment and is batting .400 this week. He’s an average .267 against Greene. Nothing terrible, but nothing amazing either.
Andy Pages is cold this week (.125 avg), but he also has 3 hits off Hunter Greene in his career … all home runs.
That’s all for now … Let’s go get some GREEN!
